Our Witch Hazel is Unique Because:
It Only Grows in the Ozarks – Our variety, Hamamelis vernalis, is native to the Ozark Mountains. Unlike the more common Hamamelis virginiana, which grows in the eastern U.S., the Ozark witch hazel blooms in late winter and carries unique plant compounds.
Alcohol-Free Distillation – Commercial witch hazel extracts are often preserved in alcohol, which can be harsh and drying on the skin. We steam-distill ours in copper alembic stills, creating a pure, alcohol-free hydrosol.
Skin-Loving pH – Our witch hazel hydrosol naturally has a pH around 5—the same range your hair and skin thrive in. This means it tones, tightens, and soothes without disrupting the skin’s acid mantle.
